Shri Manoj Sinha is the current Minister of state for Railways and the member of 16th Lok Sabha , the lower house in the Indian Parliament representing Ghazipur Lok Sabha constituency. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Early Life and Education Manoj Sinha was born on July 1, 1959 in Mohanpura, Ghazipur District, India. He has a B. Tech. and M.Tech. Degree in civil engineering from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (now Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi). Manoj Sinha has taken over as new Minister of State for Railways. The President administered the oath of office and secrecy to Shri Sinha as Member of the Council of Ministers on 26.05.2014. Shri Manoj Sinha is Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Ghazipur Constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Shri Sinha has done M. Tech. in Civil Engineering from Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. In 1982, he was the President of the Banaras Hindu University Students' Union. During 1989-96 he was a Member of the National Council. In 1996 he was elected to 11th Lok Sabha and again re-elected to 13th Lok Sabha in 1999. During 1999-2000 he was Member, General Council, School of Planning and Architecture and also Member, Committee on Energy and Committee on Government Assurances. In 2014 he is elected to 16th Lok Sabha (3rd term) from Ghazipur Constituency in Uttar Pradesh. His interests specially lie in working in backward villages. He is an Agriculturist and social worker. He is a widely travelled person. Politics From 1989-1996, he was a member of the National Council. In 1996, 1999 and in 2014 he was elected to Lok Sabha. He was among the best performing Member of Parliament of the 13th Lok Sabha with a very high attendance and asked many questions on various topics related to public welfare. He was among the seven most honest members of parliament according to India Today, he used all the money allotted to a parliament member for public welfare. He was the President of the Banaras Hindu University Students Union in 1982. Personal life.
Shri Manoj Sinha married Smt. Neelam Sinha (Sultanganj, Bhagalpur) on 8 May 1977. They have a daughter married and settled in USA and a son working with an IT/Telecom company in NCR. Positions Held.

Rajen Gohain

Shri Rajen Gohain was born on 26 Nov 1950. He has done his graduation in Law from the Gauhati University. He is the Founder Member of Bharatiya Janata Party in Nagaon, Assam. He is a person having varied interests, and has special interest in sports and participated in many sports activities. He has held the post of President of Assam Gymnastic Association and Vice-President of Gymnastic Federation of India. He is also interested in Agriculture and involved in many social activities. He became a Member of Parliament for the first time in the year 1999 and has been elected four times consecutively till the present 16th Lok Sabha. He had been Member of many Standing Committees, like Committee on Home Affairs, Water Resources, Information Technology, Subordinate Legislation, Petitions Committee and Standing Committee on Railways. He has recently been elevated to the post of Minister of State for Railways from July 2016. He has the credit to become the first Railway Minister from North Eastern Region. He has visited abroad to countries like U.K. Thailand and Laos. He has been working hard to preserve and publish different cultural activities of the various tribes in Assam including their food habits, living conditions and social activities.
Since taking over as Minister for Railways, his thrust areas have been improvement in cleanliness and passenger amenities on Indian Railways. He is thriving hard to make a visible improvement in these areas.
