India has close to seven lakh buses operating in the country with roughly 1.5 Lakh being operated by more than 60 State Transport Undertakings (STU). The transport corporations operate through approximately 3,000 terminals across the nation. Public transport is the predominant mode of motorised travel in Mega cities. Buses carry 20% to 65% of the total amount of passengers and are now demanding improved comfort levels, safety and environmental friendliness.

BDSTS-2016 is an exclusive event for Bus Operators, Manufacturers & Transport Authorities to come together for ­improving sustainable mobility in urban areas.
